1. What is eBossWatch? What does eBossWatch do?
eBossWatch is a popular career resource that helps job seekers evaluate managers and potential employers. On eBossWatch, people can rate their bosses in a professional and non-libelous manner so that job-seekers can focus their efforts on high quality employers and avoid workplace bullies.
2. How did eBossWatch get started?
eBossWatch was founded in 2007 after my frustration with the difficulty in evaluating potential employers and in not being able to know about the atmosphere and work environment during the interview process. I thought that there had to be a better way to know what it's like to work at places ahead of time.
3. What were some of the biggest obstacles in reaching the organization’s goals?
One of the main obstacles is getting the word out to job seekers about eBossWatch.
4. Why is eBossWatch important or needed in the community?
eBossWatch is important because it is an effective tool that can help people avoid toxic workplaces and all of the fallout that workplace bullying victims usually suffer from, such as emotional, psychological, and physical health problems, and a hurdle in one's career development.
5. What do you hope to accomplish in the next 5 years?
We hope to increase awareness about workplace bullying and to have grown our database of boss reviews so that it includes most managers in the US.
6. What makes your work rewarding?
Knowing that we are providing an important services that has the potential to help improve the lives of millions of people. It is especially rewarding when we receive emails thanking us for having developed eBossWatch.
7. What community or social issue is most important to you personally?
Helping and supporting children with terminal illnesses.
8. How do you feel about Concepts4Charity and our mission of engaging youth in philanthropy through sports and the arts?
Concepts4Charity is an innovative and exciting way to get young people involved in philanthropy and giving back to the community.
