Era For A Moment
Commanding, passionate and power-driven best describes what female-fronted Era for a Moment brings to the masses. Sitting Down with The Band
The Basics
by Kaleem Clarkson
SITTING DOWN WITH THE BAND 1. How and when did you hear about Concerts4Charity, Inc ? We heard about C4C a few years ago. We have seen them in the scene doing many shows all over New England. We saw they were looking for bands to help out, so we jumped on it. This will be our 3rd or 4th event with them. They work hard and really make a difference. They are a pleasure to work with. 2. If you could support two causes or organizations, what would they be? Anything that has to do with children, whether it is health, abuse, or relief efforts, all kids have the right to have a good childhood. So we like helping kids any way we can. Hospitals and abuse shelters are not where kids should grow up. 3. Have you showed signs of goodwill or participated in any charity events in the past? We have done a few with C4C, like Breast Cancer Awareness and Rock the Vote. This summer we also played for POWERcure (affiliated with the Jimmy Fund), in Sturbridge, MA,which raised money for Cancer Research. 4. If you could create a program that would improve your community, what would it be ? More activities for kids. We played a show for the Jr. High in Woburn, MA and the kids loved it. They need more after school/weekend events like concerts, to give them something to do, and to stay out of trouble. Many towns have too many strict policies on having music events take place, which usually prevents them from happening at all. It gives the kids an outlet that they actually enjoy. 5. Where do you see Era for a Moment in 5 years? Where does every band hope to see themselves in 5 years? There ya go. We're working on it.
