Participating through various academic content areas and cooperative service learning projects students shall participate in meaningful, applicable and reflective assignments while preparing for the end of the year talent showcase, that helps raise funds for the program and other community nonprofits.

During the Summer of 2005 Hampton Clarkson approached Concerts4Charity to develop a program that would take place afterschool giving kids the opportunity to learn the history of hip hop while at the same providing a chance for students to perform in an end of the year talent show.

During the Fall of 2005 Hip Hop Culture was implemented as a pilot program at University Park Campus School in Worcester, MA which was elected 68th out of Newsweeks 100 best highschools in 2005. Since 2005 over 40 students have participated in the program.

Starting in January 2009 the HHC program will be expanding to South High in Worcester, Mass providing more opportunities for students to become involved.
